Cheryl A. Kraus is a seasoned attorney, policy strategist, and advocate with over 20 years of experience in healthcare law, human services, and gender equity. She specializes in legislative advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and government relations, playing a key role in shaping healthcare and social policies in New York State.
With a JD from the University at Buffalo School of Law, Cheryl has worked with corporations, nonprofits, and government entities to advance healthcare access, workplace protections, and rights for women, children, and families. She has been instrumental in drafting and negotiating significant healthcare legislation, including reforms on gestational surrogacy, reproductive rights, and serious illness care.
Her career includes leadership roles in ADA/EEO compliance, economic development, consumer protection, and healthcare system reform. She actively engages in national policy discussions, serving on working groups addressing aging and palliative care.
